Six Feet Under has finished. The 5th and final series is out on DVD now and last weekend I watched all 12 episodes.

Six Feet Under will remain as one of the best series Television ever produced. It was the best portrayal on TV of how nothing is perfect and death is the only sure thing we can expect from life.

I have not yet come across a series or a movie where gay (David and Keith) and straight (Nate and Brenda, Claire and her boys, Ruth and her men) relationships seemed so true to reality.

I have to say that I have never felt so touched and compelled by a drama series as I have for Six Feet Under - it's been 5 years of contact with the Fisher family and everyone around them. And it is over now.

The 63rd and final episode is an absolute masterpiece. It finishes with Sia's 'breathe me' playing while Claire is driving away to New York [sorry about the spoiler]. I expected it to be quite emotional but nothing had prepared me for the Saturday afternoon shed of tears that happened in my bedroom. I went out partying but had to wear my glasses - I wasn't able to put my contact lenses on that night.
