Madrid - part 3

Very easy to get hammered in Madrid when you're on holiday there going out every night. It is a city that had until not long ago the botellón culture - heavy drinking in the middle of the streets. Imagine living in the middle of Soho then multiply the noise and number of people by 10.

We (luckily) escaped two attempts of being mugged. English speakers are probably the favourite target for pickpockets in Madrid.

Madrid - part 2

While in Madrid I went to the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums - the latter a bit of a disapointment as the Guernica room was closed. Anyway nice pictures could be taken next to the glass lifts. At Prado always good to see the Velázquez and the Zurbaráns.

The architecture is something else that is quite interesting in Madrid - lots of different styles across the city. Cafes, restaurants, and bars proudly maintaining their original features and look.

Madrid - part 1

Madrid was fun! Hot weather, wearing shorts and a T for most of the time I was there. 5 days in Madrid with my friend Joe - it was his first time there. Third time for me.

His dress sense was completly annihilated by the Madrileños - they have no taste in clothes whatsoever.

Joan As Police Woman

My 70-word review.

Joan As Police Woman – Real Life (5/5)

After Joan's performance last year as a member of Rufus Wainwright band and the release of 'My Gurl/Sweet Thing' there were good reasons to expect the best for the release of JAPW's first album. 'Real Life' is a collection of brilliant songs including first single 'the ride', the magnificent 'real life', and the Antony featured duet 'i defy'. Amazing song-writing talent and a strong contender for album of the year.
